Write My Essay For MeI’m studying for my Literature class and need an explanation.
For our class November 16, please continue reading Lorna Goodison, and then move to new materials, with Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
1. Lorna Goodison, From Harvey River
Continue reading the book to the end, or, if your time is limited, read at minimum some of part two (the move to the city), some of part three (including the final segment, which opens with the word “Cleodine”), “Epilogue” and “Afterword”
2. Apichatpong Weerasethakul
How to you experience these many small explorations of shadow, sound, and light? How do you experience them in relation to haunting, memory, migrations, for tomorrows? Although Apichatpong has made numerous feature films, we will focus on many small moments of his vision. Each small moment has its own worlds, sounds, tales, dreams, and connections.
A suggestion for class preparation: View two or three of these each day, let them linger with you.
* Visit and become familiar with Apichatpong’s extensive website http://www.kickthemachine.com/
* View a very short tale and sketches on plants and memory, from On Photophobia, at MyCourses
* If you had the book For Tomorrow, For Tonight, read the book, especially the sections written by Apichatpong. If you do not have the book—you are not expected to have it—unfortunately the BU library lost its copy and cannot replace it during this economic time. I will talk about the book briefly in class.
* There were two very different expositions of Apichatpong’s On Photophobia. View at lease one of the expositions:
–At KCUA in Kyoto

–At Nasjonalgalleriet NRK in Oslo (for English, click CC)
* View the following short videos and the accompanying prose:

* “Luminous People”
* “Cactus River”

“Uncle Boonmee” and “Cemetery of Splendor” are readily available on the internet, for viewing. It is not necessary to view either film in full, but if you have the time and interest, that is yet another option.
Your portfolio entry may be drawn from whatever inspires you about Apichatpong’s works, with their ghosts and sonic vision, and/or Jenjira, in her bountiful manifestations.
