You may use an article referenced at the end of the chapters in the text or you may find an article through the Library’s periodical database.

Write a 3–5-page critical review and summary of the key points from the article. Here are some things to consider as you read the article:

· What is the significance of the problem or issue focused on in this article?

· Compare the article you are reviewing with the general treatment of the same topic in the text we are using or from the presentations. Does the author agree or disagree with how the topic is presented in the text?

· Is the author authoritative and convincing? Where does the proof and evidence from the author’s claims come from? (Examine the author’s references).

· How logical is the author’s analysis?

· Does the article conform to mainstream views or is it unique?

· Do you agree with the author? Why or why not?

Substantiate your responses with at least 3–5 sources and be sure to cite your sources in-text. It is recommended that you use the textbook as one of your sources.
