5. Define 5 foundational counseling skills/techniques, sometimes referred to as Micro-Skills and/or Active Listening Skills and how you would use each.
6. Briefly define/describe Psychoanalysis, including 2 techniques that are somewhat unique to this approach. Name one cultural strength and liability of psychoanalysis.
7. Briefly define/describe Person Centered Therapy, including 2 techniques that are somewhat unique to this approach. Name one cultural strength and liability of PCT.
8. Briefly define/describe Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including 2 techniques that are somewhat unique to this approach (may include behavior, cognitive, and/or cognitive behavior approaches). Name one cultural strength and liability of CBT.
9. Name 3 cultural competencies (define and describe) you need to consider using when working with one of the following diverse populations; in other words, what are some ways you should work with or things you should/shouldn’t do with the specific population you choose. Pick one population (a-e below) and then elaborate on specific competencies for that population.
