Statistics show a close correlation between gun possession and the increase in crime
rates. In the recent past, gun crimes have been on the rise, which presents the need to review the
current laws related to gun ownership. Gun control is the best way to curb crimes because it
reduces injuries and deaths caused by guns and prevents gun-related crimes. In the modern
world, guns have become common and very many people are frequently in possession of
firearms. Different people , police, government officials, theives and many others are in constant
possesion of differnt guns. The guns and weapons circulation in the society has beenseen to be
on the rise in the recent years. This is a great matter of concern to the various social security of
different people.With the new laws that license various individuals to the ownerships of multiple
firearms, it is right to say that these dangerous and harmful weapons have steadily increased with
many people taking the lead in getting these tools of mass destruction.
The use of guns makes it easy for people to carry out criminal activities because they can
quickly attack and protect themselves. People lack the confidence to carry out illegal activities
when they do not have a firearm (Thompson, 2017). Most robberies recorded recently have been
carried out using dangerous weapons, guns topping the list. Guns should be restricted to the
police to make it easy for them to prevent criminal activities, arrest the perpetrators, and reduce
domestic violence, which is among the country’s prevalent crimes. The increase in the numbers
of licensed gun holders has out various things to risk, including other people’s security. Some
